Electoral system
(1) In the election of the chairman, vice chairman, chief, deputy chief and ward chairman, the election system will be adopted in which one position will be elected first on the basis of one vote through the process of secret voting.
(2) In the election of two female ward members and two ward members, including one Dalit woman of the ward committee of the rural municipality or municipality, an election system will be adopted in which the two people who get the most votes will be elected based on one vote for each member.
(3) For women members of the village executive and city executive, the concerned village assembly or city assembly members shall elect the four persons who have received the most votes in the case of the village executive and the five persons who have received the most votes in the case of the city executive by secret ballot based on the election system. will do.
(4) For members of the village executive and city executive who are from Dalit or minority communities, the respective village assembly or city assembly members shall elect the two persons who have received the most votes in the case of the village executive and the three persons who have received the most votes in the case of the city executive. Elections will be held by secret ballot.
(5) For the district coordination committee, the member of the respective district assembly shall elect one head, one deputy head, at least three women and at least one person from the Dalit or minority community from among the members of the village assembly or city assembly within the respective district.
(6) The system of election of members from women, dalit or minority communities as per sub-section (3) and (4) and the provisions regarding the election of district coordination committee as per sub-section (5) shall be as prescribed.
